Dr. Elena Kennedy, MD is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, licensed to treat and prescribe within Texas. She specializes in the treatment of mood symptoms, such as Depression and Bipolar disorder, as well as Anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, and thought and perception disorders, such as psychotic episodes and Schizophrenia.
Dr. Kennedy pursued her medical education at Universidad Nacional de Asuncion in Paraguay (South America), graduating in 2003. After a 3-year post-graduate training in Paraguay, she moved to the United States to specialize in Adult Psychiatry at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Kennedy’s approach is to provide comprehensive psychiatric services, taking into account each person’s preferences and needs, as well as considering your concerns, symptoms and life circumstances bringing you to consult, to determine next steps.

Collaborating psychiatrist consulting with nurse practitioners in rural Texas counties, as well as behavioral health specialists and Mental Health Authorities (MHA) in the state jail system, and Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams (MCOTs);
